You guys have probably heard the proverb “the secret of your success resides in your everyday routine” by now. I firmly believe that is the case, and I see a difference when I don’t have good habits since I don’t accomplish as much. Our daily schedule at home varies slightly depending on the tasks we are working on, but for the most part, it always remains largely the same.
Our morning routines are one thing that never really changes. The kids wake us up because we constantly fall asleep with them in our bed (we’re a co-sleeping family over here), most recently by saying “mom come play” or something funny. As a family, we enjoy breakfast. David usually cooks acai bowls, protein pancakes, or something simple like cereal. During the morning preparations for the kids (David has been braiding Rosie’s hair for the past month or so and is getting really good at it! He is cute because he experiments with different looks and enjoys watching tutorials, which I find very endearing. He is a great dad.
I always have a glass of water and my prenatal vitamins before we head out to the gym. Even if I don’t have time to go to the gym, I make sure to have them before I leave the house because if I don’t have them first thing in the morning, I forget.
